This week I was very fortunate to have had an opportunity to meet and listen to Alex Sheen speak in Phoenix Arizona. When I first heard that he would be a keynote speaker I wasn’t sure who he was and honestly didn’t take the time out to Google him, but with the last name of “Sheen” I thought he was an actor of some sorts.

But, before I go on I am sharing this experience with you because I believe that if you are reading this now, you may be able to use what you learn and put it to use in your life to make an impact on someones life or change the direction of your own with what you can learn here today.

If you Google “Alex Sheen” you will find out he is actually the founder of the social movement “because I said I would”  Sound familiar ?

It’s that time that we planning for next year and closing out this year. One of my personal goals is that I want to make a difference in the world. Sounds like a big goal and  I know that I am only one person, but I believe that together each our efforts will make an BIG impact.

I want to share with you a few of my favorite groups that I enjoy supporting; that are solid charities, not just at the end of the year but throughout the year.

Operation Gratitude

Operation Gratitude supports U.S Service members and their families by sending 100,000+ care packages each year that are put together by volunteers with snacks, entertainment items and personal letters of appreciation addressed to individually named U.S. Service Members deployed in hostile regions. And they also include their children left behind while deployed overseas with care packages.

In this blog post I want to share with you some of my best practices to setting goals for success. As we get closer to the New Year, many of you are already setting goals that are going to start on January 1st.

Here’s the problem with that, if you’re going to wait to start later you have already missed out and are behind in the race..

Think about it this way –  if you are a football player would you wait until the day of the first game of the season to start practicing or would you take the time to start getting in shape and practicing for your best game ahead of time?

No, you would have been practicing, studying the playbook and getting in shape way ahead of time.

Setting Goals

Setting Goals that will Lead To Disappointment

One of the biggest problems with setting goals that will start at the beginning of the New Year is that most of those goals are unrealistic and in most cases will never be met.

You might ask why?

What happens is that we get to the 1st of the year and we decide that we want to accomplish a huge lofty goal, something thats going to transform us to a different person!!! Problem is that up until that point, we have not done anything to prepare ourselves to start working towards that goal. There were no changes in our daily habits or routines that would help move us closer to Continue Reading….

If you are YouTube Video Marketing, the one thing that you don’t want to happen is to get your Videos Banned by YouTube. I see a lot of marketers posting questions to find out how to get their YouTube account back after it is too late. It takes a lot of work and time to get your channel back when you get banned by YouTube.

I was just one of our weekly Wednesday MLSP webinars with Mark Harbert who shared some great tips on how not to get banned by YouTube. If you don’t know who he is, Mark Harbert is one of the best YouTube marketers in the business and knows the In & Outs to get ranked and keep from being banned on YouTube.

Banned by Youtube Image

What Not To Do That Will Get You Banned by YouTube

Don’t create videos that provide little value to the user. For an example, if you put a video together about Recruiting Tips, but your video is about creating a Facebook page, you’re just going to turn off your visitors.

You need to give the user what they were searching for, otherwise you’re wasting time for both the person who searched and found your video ( it really pisses them off, enough to report your video and get you banned off of YouTube). AND you’re wasting your time because you are not going to get any leads or signups from a poor quality video.

Do Not Use any type of automated software that logs into your account and posts comment – Google will figure this out and possibly close your account.  And it really annoys the account holders too!

Do not Keyword Stuff your video descriptions or the title of your videos with “Garbage” and “Useless keywords just so you can rank for those keywords – Keyword Stuffing will get you Continue Reading….
